Women executives are not Superwomen when it comes to Menopause.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the onset of Menopause can happen from age 40 till your 50’s. Its occurence is 12 months after your last menstrual period and marks the end of menstrual cycles. In the U.S., the average age for Menopause is 51 years old.
Menopause is a natural biological process and characteristically ends fertility. But even during its onset, you can still stay healthy, vital and sexually active. Some women even feel relieved because they no longer need to worry about pregnancy.
The main physical symptoms of Menopause are: hot flashes, emotional problems that may disrupt sleep, lower energy or even anxiety or feelings of sadness and loss.
