
Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP), is inviting government and industry players, healthcare professionals, project managers, Information Technology (IT) professionals, vendors, regulators, and other stakeholders to the HIMSCon PH 2017, a premier gathering for members of the healthcare information management, to be held on October 25, 2017, 9:00AM until 6:00PM, at the SMX Convention Center at SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
With the theme “Unlocking Opportunities. Embracing Change”, the conference highlights the powerful play of global, local trends and the challenges that influence the transformation, innovation and new care delivery models in the HIM business process management sector.
Best practices and updates to be discussed at the HIMSCon PH gains significance as the Philippine Healthcare Information Management Services (HIMS) business’ phenomenal growth in the past 5 years has positioned the country for a bigger share of the HIMS trillion-dollar global market. As one of the fastest growing sector in the IT and business process management, HIMS was able to generate US$2.4 billion of revenue, and contribute about 118,245 full-time equivalent employment as of 2016. This represents 54% in revenue and 36% in headcount for growth from 2011 to 2016.
Keynote speaker Dr. Jeremy Lim, Partner in the Health & Life Sciences Practice for Asia Pacific of the global consulting firm Oliver Wyman, will share valued insights on the “Technology-Enabled New Care Models and Opportunities in Southeast Asia”.
Other notable speakers include Bevan Erickson, President of APCC or previously known by the full name American Academy of Professional Coders. Erickson will talk about “Trends in Healthcare: The US and Global Healthcare Perspective”; George Yang, Founder of Al-Pros, Senior Technopreneur, and former CEO of an SM Group subsidiary for 8 years, and Karlo Panti, Director of Global Production at QuintilesIMS and Country Head of IMS Health Operations Center Philippines, Inc., will lead the panel on “Unlocking the Power of Analytics and Automation/AI in Healthcare”, to name a few.
