ExecutiveChronicles.com | John David Dacut, Correspondent | Buhay Party List Solidifies Support for Women in the Celebration of the 37th Anniversary of the Kababaihan ng Maynila | Various representatives and leaders of Manila’s women’s districts attended a large online celebration of KNM’s 37th anniversary. The Buhay Party-List spearheaded this celebration in recognition of the support of women and organizations founded by Deputy Speaker Cong. Lito Atienza with the help of his wife Mrs. Beng Atienza in the eighties.
The virtual festival was led by Grace Oconer as the host of the event which was presented online on Zoom and Facebook Live. Many performances were also watched by KNM members besides the games and prizes watched from the Facebook Page and Group ng Buhay Party-list.
Buhay celebrated with the KNM virtual event as part of their advocacy of having the women as the cornerstone of life. Leading the celebration was a dance from Hiyas ng Pilipinas Dance Company, another organization sponsored by Cong. Atienza, who aims to elevate the talent of the youth in the field of dance. Two representatives of the Missionary Families of Christ, Jo-I Villas, and Elbert Eliporda, also featured a singing performance, harana-style.
Each district also made a splash that includes the Women of Manila through their waving, applause, and reaction online from Zoom and Facebook Live. Various prizes are also being raffled for the participants in the celebration. There is also a selfie contest and online contest “Best Buhay Dance Tiktok Competition” prepared to make the celebration more enjoyable.
Deputy Speaker Atienza also delivered a personal message about the value of love for one’s neighbor and for God, which is the same goal of the Buhay Party List that he also built. The message of Mrs. Beng Atienza is full of gratitude to God and to the patrons and the founder of the Women of Manila. Mrs. also thanked. Atienza for the love and loyalty of the members especially in their support of every cause as well as participating in politics.
In solidarity with the celebration of the 37th anniversary of the Women of Manila, the current main nominee of the Buhay Party List, Von Valdepeñas, delivered a message. Valdepeñas expressed Buhay’s gratitude to KNM for its solidarity with the main aspirations of such a party-list such as the importance of raising the level of women in society.
The Kababaihan ng Maynila was founded on the 4th of December 1984 and has been a prime organization that has showcased the city’s success through the success of its women. Deputy Speaker Atienza was the first president of KNM. Buhay Party-List, on the other hand, has become an affiliate of KNM in all its projects that provide support in various fields such as livelihood. This is also because the Buhay Party List wants the lives and livelihoods of the women of Manila to prosper.
