Life offers positive and negative situations that may toughen us or break us.
The popular saying goes: The only certain thing about life is that it is full of uncertainties.
As we go along the hustles of our daily life, try to take a deep breath, stop for a while, and pick up the most important guidebook. It may just be lying around the corner, often times forgotten, waiting to be opened: the Bible.
To help you start out or start over, here are some bible verses to ponder to make the best out of you:
Be the best child
“Son, do what your father tells you and never forget what your mother taught you. Keep their words with you always, locked in your heart. Their teaching will lead you when you travel, protect you at night, and advise you during the day.” –Proverbs 6: 20-23
Be the best Husband or Wife
“You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered,” 1 Peter 3:7
“A gracious wife is her husband’s delight; her abilities make him a stronger man. A wife who doesn’t talk too much is a gift from the Lord. Such restraint is admirable beyond words.” Sirach26: 13-14
Be the best Parent
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it,”-Proverbs 22:6
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians6:4
Be a best Neighbor/ Friend
“Exchange greetings with many, but take advice from only one person out of a thousand. A person who fears the Lord can make real friendships because he will treat his friends as he does himself.” Sirach 6: 6, 17
Remaining Humble
“The greater you become, the more humble you should be, and then the Lord will be pleased with you.” Sirach 3:8
Be at your best even when angry
“There is no excuse for unjustified anger; it can bring about your downfall. Wait and be patient, and later you will be glad you did. Keep quiet until the right time to speak, and you will gain a reputation for good sense.” Sirach 1: 22-24
Be the best in grabbing opportunities
“Don’t deny yourself a single day’s happiness. If there is something you want to do and it is lawful, go ahead!” Sirach 14:14
These are just some of the great bible verses that you can apply in your daily life. So don’t hesitate to start reading the Bible and discover its great teachings.
